Timmia.

There are usually considered to be two European species of this genus, one of them has been found in the united States. Schwaegrichen describes another species from Arctic America, I am not acquainted with it, but I think the other two only one species.

Fabronia.

Two Species are found in the South of Europe, one belongs to South america (vide  Kunth 1822–1825, I, 49 (Fabronia Polycarpa).

Pterogonium.

There are two sections: the distichous-leaved ones are all tropical, the others are variously spread. of about 24 species in this section, only two or three are confined to Europe, 8 or 9 are confinded to the united states, Pterogonium gracile & perhaps one or two more are common to both countries. Pterogonium gracile has been also found in the isle de Bourbon Pterogonium smithii of Europe (middle & Southern parts) is found as far as the Cape of Good Hope, in Brazil (Rio Janeiro) &c. Pterogonium julaceum of North america is found I believe in Nepal. A few species are peculiar to South america, others to Nepal.
